Sea World

We took a "mini" vacation with my side of the family. The best part was that everyone came here to San Antonio. We only had to drive about 15 minutes! We all stayed at the Omni hotel....so Weston got to stay in a hotel for the very first time. It was great. We actually all went to Sea World on Monday and Tuesday. It was of course 2 of the hottest days we've had so far this summer. Grams works wonders and on the first day while us big kids went on a roller coaster, she got Weston and Kayden asleep in the strollers! Unbelievable. Weston slept that first day for like 2 hours while we went to some shows. We left both days before it got too hot. We got to see Shamu and the cute sea lions. The girls really watched the shows....they seemed to like it a lot. They did really great while we were there. On the second day we went to the ski show. Of course this was our favorite. We took Weston down after it was over and he got to try on the skis and take his picture with the guys from the show. It was really cute. In the afternoon, we took all of them to the pool and swam at the hotel. Then they all took long naps. The guys all played golf a few times while everyone was here too. It was a fun few days to have everyone down here. Thanks mom and dad (Grams and Pops) for a fun trip!

I can sit up and I found my hand!!

Weston is still working on sitting up by himself. He still needs a little assistance but for the most part he is doing pretty good. It's really cute because all of a sudden he'll start leaning and fall to one side. Luckily the carpet is pretty soft and he has LOTS of extra padding. He also has just discovered his hand. He will hold it out and stare at it. It's really funny. He is still a chunk and we love squeezing him!!

Almost Sitting Up

He is so fun to take his picture. Last week went to a new play group that just got started. That is him with his 2 new buddies....Caden and Daniel. I'm sure they will be teaching each other lots of new things.

Weston is just about sitting up by himself. He props his hands up on his legs but can hold it by himself for a long time. I think he might have leaned a little too far over in that one picture. He has a super long crack. We laugh at him for it. He'll love these pictures one day. We are loving all his chubbiness and are taking lots of pictures of it before he grows out of it. I can't imagine this happening but everyone says it will.

4 months

On Friday Weston will turn 4 months old. We went this morning to his check-up. He weighed 18 lbs and 15 oz!! Unbelieveable. He was off the charts once again....above 95%. Logan and I had a bet going how much he'd weigh and needless to say both of us guessed under that. He was 25 1/2" long or tall....in the 50-75% for height. Dr. Coleman was pleased with how he really pleased with how he is doing and definitely said we could wait on the solid food until 6 months. He said Weston definitely didn't need any more calories. I told the doctor that I was only feeding him 4 times a day and he was sleeping about 11 hours. The doctor was shocked!!! He said he's never seen anything like that before for a breastfed baby especially gaining weight like that!! Weston did his normal pee on everything trick while we were there. He even got Dr. Coleman this time.

Here are a lot of pictures of him lately. He is just SO perfect to us. We love him so much and can't imagine our lives without him. His smile and laugh is the best. It just melts my heart everytime. He is so much fun and oh my goodness we are so blessed to have him.

Weston had an explosion on mom so he got to take a quick bath in the sink. But he doesn't really fit in the sink anymore :) but he sure is cute!!

Happy 4th of July!!

Grams and Pops came to stay with us for the weekend. They spoiled Weston. Logan and dad played golf on Friday morning while me and mom and Weston went shopping. He didn't understand why he couldn't go play with the boys. On Saturday night he got dedicated at church. He got his very own Bible. He looked so cute in his new little plaid pants and new white shirt. I put gel in his hair too. He was looking good. Logan smoked a yummy brisket all day on Saturday so we had friends over Saturday night after church and ate it. Daniel is Weston's buddy now. He shared his swing with him. His cute little feet hung out the bottom. Sunday we just hung out at the house and played with Weston. Thanks Grams and Pops for making the trip down and staying with us. We had a great time!

I bought that patriotic t-shirt at the dollar spot at Target awhile ago. Guess I should have gotten a bigger size because it was skin tight on him. He even got his own little flag to wave for July 4th.

Pregnancy Care Center

Last Thursday and Friday I went to a training at the Pregnancy Care Center in San Antonio. I found out about them from our church. I've been wanting to serve somewhere now that I'm staying home. I loved it! It's a place that women can come to get a free pregnancy test. The test draws them in and then they are also able to develop relationships with these women and hopefully share the Lord with them. Their goal is to help these women make good choices and hopefully decide to keep their babies. It's an incredible place that ministers to tons of women that are facing hard times. I'm hoping to start counseling there sometime soon. I will first shadow some of the other counselors before I do it on my own. I was shocked to learn about how many abortions are done each year and how it's being thought of as a form of birth control now. I've always been against abortion but I know my perspective has changed even more being a mom now. I can't imagine harming something so precious! I am praying for the Lord to use me and definitely for Him to give me the words to minister to these women.

He just keeps getting cuter!

Weston is growing bigger everyday! Here are some recent pics of him. He has just recently started playing in his exersaucer. He loves it and has started figuring out all the toys on it. He likes the moo from the cow the best. He is laughing a lot now. He loves when his dad bounces him on the bed or mom bounces him on her stomach. He starts cracking up. It's the cutest.
