Big Boy Undies

I thought this needed a post all by itself. Mimi got Weston some big boy undies in his stocking. We put them on him and it was the cutest thing I've ever seen.....those fat little legs and belly hanging out of them was too cute. He thought he was something sporting them around. Mimi had him pottying on the potty chair all weekend. He really knows what to do and gets all excited about it. We did it this morning and he immediately went. He likes to empty the potty chair in the toilet, flush it, and wave "bye" to it. The idea of having him potty trained and only one in diapers would be great! We'll see what happens.....

Christmas in January!!!

Since we spent Christmas with my family in Weatherford, we didn't get to see Logan's family. So they just made the LONG drive down from Kansas and stayed a few days with us this past week and weekend. Weston LOVED having his Mimi and Pawpaw here with him. He was laughing constantly and getting loved on every minute. I just love seeing them with him. He got to open his gifts on Wednesday night....he sure knew what to do.

We went out to eat several times....he always thought our pagers were phones....silly boy.

We got to keep Braden on Friday night. They had a blast with Mimi during bathtime. She got them blowing bubbles on each other. It was pretty cute to see them two in the tub together. My how different they are though.....

Weston had the best time playing with Mimi's iphone. He had it figured out and knew how to play the games on it. His favorite was the itsy bitsy spider. It was some great entertainment when he was getting fussy or mad at other things.
We sure love you Mimi and Pawpaw. We were sad when you had to leave yesterday morning. Thanks for all our fun Christmas gifts! We love you lots! We can't wait for you to come back!!!

Mini Town

Last Friday Catherine had a day off, so we took the boys to Mini-town. It's right off of I-10 and was a lot of fun. A friend from church, Cory, came too and brought her little boy Thatcher. They are all pretty close in age and had fun playing together. It's basically what it's called....a mini town. They have all different room off a big room that are an HEB, disco room, school room, bank, kitchen, barber shop, etc. It was pouring down rain all that day so it was great to let them play somewhere. Afterwards we went to our favorite...chick-fil-a. Fun play day!
They loved the see-saw. Poor Braden would have been stuck up in the air forever with Weston on the other end....we had to help him out :) Weston doesn't make a very good see-saw buddy for kids his age....he needs a 5 year old to do it with him :)

Muffin Tin Lunch

I'm not taking credit for this idea...found it on one of my friend's blogs, but it was a lot of fun. We're calling it Muffin Tin lunch. Weston got to eat his lunch out of the muffin pan. He loved it and ate it all up....well I shouldn't say all....as you'll notice in the second picture one of the spots had green beans and somehow those got left :( He thought he was big stuff and loved it!

Haiti

I can barely even watch the news when they are showing the pictures and talking about the destruction in Haiti. It just breaks my heart to watch all those people in such despair. I had the opportunity to go to Haiti on a mission trip during college and so it has always been near and dear to my heart. The people there are precious. We actually flew in to Port-au-Prince and so I was able to see some of that city. There is poverty everywhere. We ended up leaving there and flying in to Cap-Haitien, which is another larger town located in the eastern part of Haiti, closer to the Dominican. It was a much closer airport to the village where we served whlie we were there.
One of my really good friends is actually serving right now as a missionary in the Dominican. They are sending in supplies to Haiti to help with relief efforts. If you would like to give to help this cause, you can do so by clicking on this link. http://makariosinternational.org
It's hard to just sit here and watch and not want to go help. But I know that our prayers and financial support are helping too. I just pray that people will turn to the Lord during this time and more will known Him because of all of this.

Name Change :)

Yes, we're changing the name to Caleb Franklin Cross. We have always really liked that name too and after much thought, debate, and actually a secret ballot vote, we decided to change his name to Caleb. We're still wanting more kids after him and so the thought of having 3 or maybe 4 names that all start with a "w" was going to get a bit confusing. So we're excited to meet Caleb in about 3 months from now!!!

Sunshine!!

I think little boys go nuts in the winter. I can't imagine living somewhere that is cold for very long. This has been long enough for Boerne! The sun was out today and it was actually warm and pretty outside for most of the morning. We played in the backyard and had a picnic on the table outside (as we listened to the roar of I-10). It was so great to be outside and enjoy the sunshine. As you can tell by the picture someone else was enjoying it too! He played in his sandbox for a long time and was having lots of fun.

The Farm Yard

We braved the cold and had a fun day yesterday. We went to a place out in Bulverde called The Farm Yard. It was sorta interesting when we drove up but it turned out to be a hit with the kids. The directions said to park by the old Chevy when you pull in. Sure enough, the old Chevy was right there to park next too. The kids got to see and pet all kinds of animals, ride a pony, and feed the animals out of their hands. The best part was that all of that only cost us $4!!! This mama likes the bargain places!

Julie, Laura, Wendy, and Avery all came with their kids too.

I think this little pony liked Weston.....he was following him around.
This was the loudest donkey I've ever heard!!!

Weston loved riding the pony.....he was in heaven and thought he was a big boy up there all by himself.

Despite all the poop on our pants and shoes we all had a great time. If any of live around here and are interested, the website is www.thefarmyard.org

We have Sheetrock & Stone!

Here's some pictures from last weekend that I took of the house. They are almost done with the stone on the outside. They just need to paint the stucco and all that will be done too. The sheetrock is up inside and they are spraying the texture tomorrow. It's exciting to watch it come together now. I'm ready to move in today :) but I think there are a few more things that need to happen first.
