Surprise Trip Revealed!

It was a very fun surprise! He messed with me the entire time we left the house asking me which direction we should go. I was thinking we were going to the beach so when we got on loop 1604 and headed east I was really confused. We stopped and ate dinner at Chick-fil-a and then did a u-turn and went north on Hwy 281. I didn't know where in the world we were going. Logan said he told Weston the night before where we were going so the entire way I kept asking Weston where we were going. All he would say is "trip" and just grin really big. He thought he was pretty funny keeping a secret from mom. Then we turned off onto the road that leads to the new JW Marriott Resort. I would have never guessed it! It was awesome! Great surprise! He actually has a homeowner that is a manager for the hotel and he gave us 2 nights for FREE!!!

Don't you wish you had these two in the hotel room with you???
We had quite the set up in our room. It's amazing the things you think up when you have kids sleeping in the same room as you. We had one pack-n-play in the closet with a blanket draped over the front. The other pack-n-play was in the corner of the room. Logan rigged up a curtain around it using a sheet and the floor lamp. It was quite a sight.
2 brothers in bed together....don't worry...it didn't last long.
We started each morning with plenty of cartoons....it's vacation! When else do you get to watch a big screen in bed! Mickey Mouse was the pick of the morning.
Caleb enjoyed it too :)
There was a safe in our room and Weston found it quickly and managed to lock Logan's chapstick inside. Funny thing is that we had no idea what buttons he pressed for the code.....therefore the chapstick is still at the Marriott. Here's his explanation of what happened.....
Another interesting story....the beloved "night night".....We went up from the pool on Saturday afternoon to try to take naps (that's a whole other story). Weston was about to try to go to sleep and we realized we didn't have his night night. I had remembered him taking it down to the pool but we couldn't find it anywhere. Logan worked on getting him to sleep and I went all the way back to the pool and tried to find it. I checked lost and found and all around the chairs we had been sitting in. I couldn't find it anywhere. So we just kept telling him what any parents would say, "we're washing it"....he somehow got through a nap and the night without it. The next day we were down at the pool about to leave and Logan said that maybe we should check lost and found again. Lo and behold there was the beloved night night. The smile on that boy's face when I gave it to him was priceless.
The resort had an awesome mini water park in the back. There were 3 big tube rides, a huge lazy river, and an awesome kiddie pool with 2 slides.
Caleb found the sun loungers to be great napping spots!
These are the slides at the kiddie pool. Weston LOVED them. He went again and again and again. He would see one kid go down on his tummy and then he'd try it. He went down in every position possible. There was a lifeguard at the top of the slides and she was telling Weston not to go down on his belly. So he would start out on his bottom and then half way down he'd flip over....he had it figured out. Silly boy.

This is the "big boy slide." They actually let Weston ride it even though he wasn't 42" tall as long as he sat in our lap. He loved it! He was definitely the youngest kid going down the big tube rides. This kid has no fear of anything!

We had a great weekend! On our way home I asked Weston what his favorite part of the weekend was, and his answer was "dada." I guess that is pretty fitting! Thanks dad for planning a fun surprise weekend!
