Weston had his best friend, Braden's, birthday party the morning of the 4th. They went to the zoo and had a great time. So we wanted to do something fun for Caleb since we never get to just have time with him without Weston. He got some shaving time in with Dad too!
We loaded up and went over to New Braunfels. We sorta had some bad luck because we first were headed to the children's museum but it was closed. Next we tried the train museum but it too was closed. But we did get to go up to the trains and see them. Caleb loved that and kept saying "choo choo" over and over.
So we went to Landa Park and rode the train there and played at the park. For a 2 year old this is a really fun day!! It was a little warm for Tyson but he was a trooper and did great.
Caleb loved pushing Tyson in the stroller....reminds me of Weston pushing Caleb in the stroller all the time. They both don't even want you to touch it while they are pushing it!
Then we headed over to the Bellamy's house for dinner and some fireworks. We had a great time watching the boys. We spent a whopping $5 on a few pop things and sparklers......but they are 4 and 2.....guess we should save our money for when they get older and beg for the big stuff :)

Craig got some stuff too and Weston and Mason got to do a few roman candles. They thought they were big stuff and loved it!
Thanks Bellamys for a fun night! That's all the fireworks we did for the night. You'll notice it's light in all the pictures :) We thought about going to Boerne's show but decided to get them home to bed. We figure we'll have plently more years of keeping them up late and going to see it! I have to say I miss being with my side of the family for the 4th....growing up we always ate homemade ice cream and did fireworks all together at my Grandma Martin's house. I miss that.
