Time with Tyson and Each Other!

After Great Wolf Lodge, Mimi and Pawpaw took the older boys back to Kansas with them!  So we've had almost a week of just time with Tyson and each other.  I miss them to pieces but it has been so great to have a little break.  Here's some pictures from the last several days.  The night we got back we got to go celebrate Justin's graduation.  Several of us all met to eat and celebrate him.  It was really fun.  We are so proud of him.  He's been doing school this entire time he has been sick.....amazing....chemo going on and he's doing school work!!!

Scott and Catherine kept Tyson.....she took this when she was giving him a bath that night....it's one of the cutest pictures of him I've ever seen!!!  I am giving her practice at having 3 boys.....she's due with her 3rd boy in December!!!

On Saturday they watched him again...(yes they are the best!!) and we actually went kayaking!!!  We haven't done something like with just us in a VERY long time.  It was so fun to talk and actually finish our sentences!!!  We went on the Guadalupe river which was a little low but still really fun. 

It's been SO fun to have some one-on-one time with Tyson (aka chubby).  Why did we ever think one kid was hard???  We took him out to eat Saturday night with us at Maggianos.  We would NEVER do this with the other boys.  He did great and we had a great dinner.   

 

He got to try some lemon......funny faces and he seemed to like it :) 

We bought him some puffs while we were out and he got to try them.  He didn't quite know what to do with them but like every other Cross boy he opens his mouth wide for food and eats whatever!!

Last night Catherine's mom offererd to keep Tyson for us.  So we decided to take advantage of the time and we went and ate at Cosi and saw a movie together.  We have blown through the gift cards this weekend.  Some of them we've had for a long time and we finally got to use them!!  After we left the theater we asked ourselves when was the last time we left a movie theater on a Monday night???  Probably never!

Well my big boys get home in about 2 hours and I can't wait!  The house has been way too quiet and way too clean!  I can still see vacuum lines on the carpet from BEFORE we left for Great Wolf Lodge.  This NEVER happens.  They normally don't even last 10 minutes when everyone is here.  Logan and I laugh about how we have hesitated before we push the garage door opener, gate opener, or turn on the smoothie maker the last several days because normally we'd be in big trouble if they didn't get to do it.   Life is so much more fun, loud, wild, energetic and crazy with all 3 boys and I'm so thankful for all them!  I'm so glad we got a break but now it's time to let the fun begin again!
