Christmas Tree Time and the Jesse Tree

Fun night decorating our tree....I've got lots of helpers 

 

One of my friends Misty had a Jesse Tree ornament exchange.  This tree refers to a passage in the book of Isaiah which describes metaphorically the descent of Christ from Jesse of Bethlehem, through his son David.  So there are 25 ornaments in all and each one is a different symbol.  It's really neat and I'm so excited to do it with my boys.  My symbol was the burning bush....so I made a LOT of burning bushes.  My mother-in-law helped me a lot when she was in town.  And yes, I did the sewing on them!!! 

This is a picture of Misty's tree from the party.  It's what mine will look like at Christmas when we've put all 25 ornaments on our tree.
