It is birthday season at our house!! We will have 4 birthdays within a month and a half now! Wow...that is going to be a lot. Weston's birthday hit during Spring Break this year so we got to celebrate with his class at school the Friday before he got out. I brought up Spider-Man cupcakes.
I do NOT get Mom of the Year for his party planning this year :) I actually planned it 4 days before it happened I think. He decided he wanted to go to Main Event and ask a few friends from school. So I ended up calling the parents and getting it somewhat organized in time. So Saturday night (yes, the first Saturday night of Spring Break) we headed over to Main Event in Fort Worth for his party. It was crazy crowded and a bit overwhelming but it worked out great. The "show up and they do everything for you" was my kind of party for this year :) They got to go bowling for the first hour. Weston loved it and I think they all had a great time.
Here's his party....Kayden, Kiersi, Weston, Jackson, James, Addison, Jacob and Kai. Caleb had a small melt down before the picture and Emma came a little a later too.
After bowling we went to the party room and had pizza and yummy cake (made by Aunt Mel of course)!
He wanted a Star Wars theme so that's what she made. It was so cute of course!
Weston and Emma.
So after the cake, they got game cards and got to go to the arcade. Well sadly the entire place's computer system shut down and none of the games were working :( Weston was very sad and so was his mommy. We waited around for a little bit but decided to go ahead and go home.
He got to open his presents the next morning at home. He was very excited about his new t-shirt.
He got several sets of Leggos and Kai is the expert at knowing which ones are the best.
Silly isn't quite the word but a long time ago he was in Home Depot with Logan and saw some type of pocket knife/multipurpose tool that he just had to have. Logan said no and just wouldn't let it go. He has been talking about that knife for WEEKS!!! So we surprised him and got it for him. You would've thought that we gave that kid a million dollars :)
However I love his little mind and heart and how the simplest $5 gifts can be his favorite. We are working on how to ask with supervision to use the knife and only to carry it when mom or dad has given permission :)
Weston of course loved having Kai in town for his party. They played together nonstop!
So on Tuesday for his actual birthday we loaded up and met Logan at Main Event and Weston got to play his games finally. He had a blast! Caleb and Tyson played too.
I can't believe he is 6 years old. It is flying by!! I am so proud of him and he is changing and growing so much these days. He is doing great in kindergarten and makes friends so easily with anyone around him. He is definitely a people person and knows everyone's names and sometimes even their parents name and sibilings!! His little brain amazes us at the things he can figure out and is interested in. He loves being with his Dad and working with tools and putting together stuff. But he also is a great helper to me with his brothers and now with Lucy. He loves helping me cook. I love him to pieces and can't imagine our world without our Weston! Happy 6th Birthday!!!
