More progress on the house...seems slow to me but at least it's coming along!
Lots of helpers :)
Logan's been talking about planting a garden and fruit trees out at the new house. We finally took the time to go buy the trees and get them planted. It was warm that day so we had some pretty cute shirtless boys :).
We celebrated 11 years of marriage on New Years Eve. We went out on a date....fun to be together! So grateful for this man and our life together.
On New Years Eve we had the Smiths over. We ate, played games, and did some fireworks. Fun night with one of our favorite families!
Weston loved our sparkling apple juice.....
Logan spent the entire afternoon on New Years day putting together Lucy's new dollhouse she got for Christmas from Mimi and Pawpaw. When she woke up from her nap she was super excited. It's so cute and so huge :). I'm sure this will be a favorite for a long time!
The day after New Years we decided to go burn the HUGE pile of brush in the back of the new house. Our poor little Christmas tree got burned too....it was SO dry by New Years. He had been watching the weather and waiting for a low wind day. We got out there pretty early and started the fire. It was crazy huge but then died down and seemed ok.
Well all was ok for awhile. Logan came home for dinner and said it was all burned down and calm. We were in the middle of dinner and his phone rang. It was our new neighbors. He at first didn't answer and I said what if something happened. So he called them right back and sure enough the entire pasture was caught on fire and the fire department was out there!! Logan flew out there and me and the kids came quick.
It had definitely burned a lot of the pasture but thankfully not any trees and not near our house or the neighbors house!!!
The boys were instantly pumped about the firefighters. Tyson is obsessed with firemen already! This was like a dream come true.
The sunset was super beautiful that night!!
After the fire was all out each kid was able to take a turn and use the hose. They loved every minute!
We were very grateful it wasn't worse than it was.....what a night!
More progress on the house....
Lucy has been hooked on Thomas the train and Spider-Man and FINALLY we made a small break through with wanting Frozen princess stuff. Sweet friends passed down some princess costumes and once she found them in her room she hasn't wanted to take them off :). She plays Frozen music and wears her dress around the house.
We got a little snow the other day!!! Super fun....wish it were more but the kids sure loved it!
We took the boys to the movies at our new theater and played some video games.
Lipstick at Gram's house.....
Elsa and Fireman
Cowboy day at school for preK
Older 2 boys are playing basketball and so far are enjoying it a lot. It's so fun to watch them learn and try new things.
