The Bradys have been begging us to come on the college mission trip for several years. Really they wanted Logan because it's always a construction trip and he could give so much insight. So we decided to join in and go! It was such a great week! We left on Weston's birthday so we celebrated him that night over pizza. The high school ministry took their ski trip at the same time. They stopped for a night and spent it at the church and then went on to ski. So Weston was part of the ski trip but he got to ride up with us!
And another crazy part is that I drove!!! Yep....Logan had to pull the trailer with all the tools so I took our car. It worked out because after the trip, Logan and Caleb went on to go snow skiing for a few nights. They had this planned for Caleb's 13th birthday. So I felt like a real grown up to drive that far by myself!
The Smiths were part of the ski trip so it was fun to get to hang out with them!
One of the best parts of the week was that we got to stay with Brittany and Grant!! They only lived about 15 minutes from the church so it worked out perfectly. The kids had a blast being together!
AND Gracie Mae decided to not go on the ski trip and stay with US!!! Her and Lucy had a blast together....girl time! They stayed in the same room and definitely bonded over the week!
Brittany even came up and worked with us one day. I love her and so thankful for the many years of friendship!
Lots of construction.....rebuilt stage, worked on playground, storage shed, new windows, sound booth and lots of other odds and ends throughout the church. It was so fun to see Logan in his element and using his gifts. Our boys did so great too. I had no idea how well they knew power tools but they were teaching the college kids! It was just a fun week to serve as a family.
I was on kitchen crew so we helped prepare all the meals. It was a lot of work but really fun to be with the other women.
The Thomas's went on the trip too and our kids were inseparable. They had so much fun together!
SNOW!
Caleb earned the "golden hammer" for his handwork throughout the week. Super proud of him!
Amazing week! So thankful we could get away and be a part of this trip! Mountain View Bible church is a neat place with a heart to serve. The Lord is going to do big things through this church!
