Class Lake Day, Chemo, Lake, Soccer, Cross Country, Baseball, Greg's Heart Attack, and Homecoming

Our Sunday school class came out for a day at the lake.  We had the biggest group we've ever had.  It was a bit crazy but so fun!  Seeing kids learn to do stuff behind the boat is the best.  Jesse got surfing on the first try just about!

So many people and kids everywhere!!

That weekend Lucy played in a basketball tournament here in Weatherford.  It was rough but they played hard!
We didn't pay for Caleb's cross country pics but I got some in the yard.  I'm so proud of him for sticking with this and working so hard!!  He gets up just about every day for a very early morning run.  He's doing great.

Chemo round #23.  All went well!  CEA still dropping....so thankful!!

Weston wanted to ask Sara to our homecoming dance so we thought up an idea and I painted him a poster.  She loves chocolate chips so we went with that idea!
And she said YES!
Tennis team!
Bad puppy......chewing up my pool chair cushions :(
Then I was sitting at the kitchen table and saw her chewing the cushion so I jumped up to go get on to her and spilled my juice!!!  This juice is full of beets, carrots, etc.  Not good on a rug :(. It was most definitely ruined. It looked like a murder scene!
More tennis and this time at home!

Lucy's friend, Tye, got baptized so us and the Schefflers went and cheered her on!

Volleyball time!
We decided to paint some new overalls for Lucy for homecoming.  She has definitely outgrown her others.  It was fun and I love doing this kind of stuff.

Another lake day.....Caleb brought his buddies.

And the Bradleys came!

And Sara came too!  She surfed and did great!

She asked him to go to her homecoming :)
Chemo #24 with Casie.  We had a great day together.  Everything still going well.  Side effects from the medicine aren't fun but I'm managing.  CEA is still dropping big time so it is motivating to endure whatever.
Cross Country team pictures!!

Wednesday morning was a day I won't forget.  I had taken Tyson to school and came back and Logan said he answered my phone because my sister was calling.  Greg was working out and had to be taken to hospital.  I flew in the shower and got as ready as fast as possible and drove over there.  Mel called me at some point on my way over and told me he had a heart attack while he was working out.  Miraculously the coaches that were with him knew exactly what to do and started doing CPR.  They had an ambulance there quick and got him to hospital.  He had a widow maker heart attack and immediately went back for surgery to get a stint put in.  He was doing ok but still out when I got there.  It was hard.  It was just hard to swallow because he is in such good health but once again we were all reminded that we are NOT in control.  So I stayed at the hospital all day and then at their house that night.  Murphy was a good puppy :). Kayden and I got up early the next morning and made icing for Melody so she was ready for a wedding cake that she had later that week.

He was hooked to all kinds of stuff.  But slowly he made amazing progress and got off the oxygen.  So thankful!!!  Before I left he was sitting up in bed and starting to be more himself.

Came home and it was homecoming time and kinda a marathon of a weekend.  Lucy's overalls were so so cute on her!!!

We hosted our annual homecoming party.  It was so fun!!!  We had a great turnout and plenty of food.  Everyone ate and hung out and then headed to the game.

The next day was soccer for Tyson!

Then we left soccer a little early to head to baseball for Caleb.  It was in Dallas.  He got to pitch towards the end of the game.  He did great!  We went by the hospital on our way home and got to see Greg again.  He was doing SO much better and almost totally himself.  So so thankful!!

We were on our way home from baseball and Weston was getting ready for homecoming dance.  He was taking Sara out to dinner before so he left early.  I totally dropped the ball and forgot her bouquet.  So he handled it and went to Albertsons and got some flowers.  I was on FaceTime with him and trying to teach him how to put together a bouquet.  It was definitely a memory.  I felt awful for forgetting.  But he did great and did it himself!!

And they had a great time together!!

And Caleb got ready as soon as we got home and we got him to dance in time.  He looked so handsome....both boys did!  I gave him a quick refresher in the yard on two stepping :)
