Weston and Dad's Camping Trip Before Kindergarten

Well, Logan's been planning and thinking about this trip for a long time.  This is something he is wanting to do with all the boys before they go into kindergarten and then before they start college.  When he told Weston that they were going it was priceless.  A weekend alone with just him and dad?!?!  He jumped up in his arms and hugged him tight.  It was so cute!!!  They left Friday morning and headed for Broken bow lake/Beaver's Bend State Park in Oklahoma.  This was my gift for their trip....homemade cinnamon rolls :)
They had a great time.....swimming, fishing, paddle boating, building things, eating snowcones, playing UNO and Skipbo, and just being together.
Of course there were some battle wounds from the weekend....
Logan had Weston memorize some verses and after he said them he gave him a gift.  He got his very own headlamp with his name on it.  This was a very big deal!  Weston loved it!  Logan recorded him saying the verse and getting the headlamp....took a few videos :)

They actually saw a copperhead swimming in the river.....oh and yes, same river they were just swimming in!
my favorite....
blue raspberry snowcones :)
I'm so thankful that our boys have a dad that wants to invest in them and spend time with them.  I know they made some lasting memories last weekend.  They have a special bond and I'm so thankful for that!
