Caleb's 7th Birthday Here and Oklahoma!

Caleb decided to just do a small party this year.  All he wanted was to spend his birthday with Eli.....so more to come on that :).  So we let him invite a few friends and we did something small here in town.  He picked Whataburger for dinner (Ha!) and then we took them all to see Boss Baby.  It was a fun night celebrating him and letting him entertain his friends :).  They were pretty hilarious all together.

His mouth is always open!!  I love him to pieces.  It's hard to believe this kid is 7!  We have had a lot of time together this year since I've had him home for school.  I have to say I've learned so much about him and what makes him Caleb.  He is an amazing kid and gifted in unique ways.  He loves to learn and is a smart kid!  He's a great reader and excels at most things academically.  He cares deeply for others and will do things unexpectedly for them.  He's a hard worker if he's in the right mood :).  I'm proud of him and how much he has grown over this year!
celebrating at school!
So since he wanted to see Eli SO bad for his birthday we asked them to meet us in Oklahoma to stay at the cabins at Turner Falls.  It worked out for Easter weekend.  It was so so fun and went by too fast :(.  Mimi got to come too so that was super fun too!

They didn't make it till late that night so we had some family time together.  We found out that we balance on the see saw as a family with me and the older 2 on one side and Logan and younger 2 on other!  How about that talent!!

We had so much fun.....lots of fishing, talking, playing, digging in the dirt, see sawing, swinging, eating, and being together.  We love our cousins!!!!

Jason wasn't able to come so Logan was a rock star baiting hooks for 6 boys!!!!  He was awesome with them and they caught TONS of fish!

look at this SASS!

These 2 hardly left the dirt.....

We have been introduced to Pokemon cards now.....not sure how I feel about that!
Aunt Mel graciously made him a fishing cake and sent it with us.....it was SO cute!!!

They headed back Saturday around lunch and we stayed around for awhile.  We went down to the natural area where we've gone before.  The water was pretty chilly but fun to play in!

love this pic :)

Stopped for ribs and ice cream on the way....not sure a weekend gets better than that!!!  We love that place because it makes us just sit and relax.  We loved being with family too.  It was a great way to start the Easter weekend.
