Canada 2018

Canada was amazing this year.  Last year was awful with us all being sick with the tummy bug....so this year just HAD to be better!!!  We flew into Seattle as usual and made the drive up.  The Rackley and Robersons also went.  The Rackleys beat us all up there but the Robersons drove around the same time so we had TONS of laughs on the way up!

On Saturday we did grocery shopping for the week and then went on a fun hike with everyone.  It was so relaxing and awesome just to be with the Arringtons.

The water in the river was freezing but of course all the kids and crazy dads jumped right in!

Sunday morning we had brunch with everyone at the HUB.  Then we got to hang out for the day until it was time for church that night.  It was actually our first time to get to do a regular church service with them.  It was amazing just to see their hearts and how much they pour into what they do.  Their kids lead worship and everyone plays a part to make it happen.  It was beautiful!

On Monday we started Kids Rock Summer camp.  Each of us had different ages we were in charge of.  We had a great week!  One of the highlights was being with these 2.....we laughed SO much and had the best time.  We got to put on a puppet show and well it was just fun.  My name forever is Joey :) 

On Monday night we headed over to a beach at a lake nearby.  It was gorgeous and so fun and relaxing. We played in the sand and watched the kids swim.  Once again just a fun time to get to be with these dear people.

Tuesday night we invited the entire church group over to the HUB and had burgers and hotdogs out in the backyard.  It was a sweet time of just getting to be with the church members and hear them talk.  I loved it!

Wednesday night we got to help with Kids Rock over at a neighborhood around the corner from the HUB.  Tons of kids came and the message of Christ was shared.  It was an awesome night!

Oh the goodbyes....hard to even think about.  We had an amazing week.  I've told several people that instead of going and trying to figure out what they are doing and how they are doing it and asking so many questions this time was so different.  This time we just got to be with them.  They are close friends to us now and we just got to go and love on them.  I loved every second I got with my sweet friends.  A piece of our hearts will forever be in that place!!

We stayed a night in Seattle and got to hang out with Brittany and her boys!!!!  It was so fun that it worked out that way.  We got to swim in our hotel pool, hike and eat lunch at their house.  Our boys had a blast and I know would be the best buddies if they had more time together.  

Time for home!!

A little girl was SO happy to see us.  She did a lot of squealing and hugging.  We missed her a lot!

But she was in good hands.....Mimi for most of the time and Grams for the last day or so.  She had a great time with both!
