Fall Break - Arkansas

The kids had two days off school so we planned a trip to Arkansas and also a college visit for Weston. He was interested and wanted to see it! It went well and was a good visit!

We left the other 3 kids home at the vrbo :). They played and did fine.

We had dinner outside on the deck. The house sat right on the river and it was beautiful!! The weather was perfect!!

We made a fire and just hung out for a long time. It was one of the best nights we've had as a family in awhile. I loved it! We even danced....it was so fun.

Having the puppies there makes everything better :)

The next day we went hiking at Devil's Den state park. We had to keep the dogs their leashes so that made it a bit interesting. But we had a great time!

We packed a picnic and ate by the river. So peaceful!

The place we stayed had kayaks so we took them down the river.....or actually up the river and then back down. It was so fun! The dogs were quite challenging to balance but we managed or they jumped in a swam to shore and ran beside us :)

The house had some weird features. There was a tiny dog door?!?! Charlie could only get his snout through it but he loved being able to see......

The next day we had a super slow morning. It was so nice not to be rushed! We played hide and go seek in the house and had some good laughs!!! Then we went to natural area and saw some waterfalls. We were a little much for the area with the dogs. There were several Karens around so we didn't stay too long.
