Our Family Christmas (Covid style)

Well to say Christmas was a bit different this year is quite an understatement.  We normally are always in Kansas and always with family.  We ended up getting together with my side but it was tense and quite strange.  To make light of it my dad showed up like this!  Covid was at an all time high and the weeks/days after our family gathering some of us had it at some point.  But it was still good to be together!  We were at Mel and Greg's new house....super fun day together.

Lucy got an ice cream truck for her dolls (Shannon and Leslie).  She was SO excited!!!

We got to go see Grandma Martin and wish her a Merry Christmas!  Always so good to see her!
We did our little family Christmas soon after.  It was just the 6 of us.  We normally do it early before Christmas because we travel to Kansas.  But we didn't realize what the days ahead held.
We decorated a gingerbread house together.  While we were decorating Lucy lost her first TOOTH!!!  She was a bit excited.  It basically was so loose that it just fell right out :)

We started the evening by reading the Christmas story and then super cool evening because we got to walk out to the back of our property and see the Christmas star!  Well not exactly the Christmas star but it was pretty close.  It was a rare occurrence of Jupiter and Venus touching.  We took Weston's telescope and got to see it.  It was pretty neat!

Then we opened presents together.  It was a fun night!

Shannon got a sister!  Meet Leslie :)

This one was excited with his cool new watch.  A gadget :)

My new favorite shoes.  So comfy and warm!!!

Legos and Star Wars...this kid is happy!

She got her a new disney watch too!
Blurry pic but this kid was excited with his Cowboys blanket and a new trailer :)

Logan started feeling pretty rough and we were pretty much convinced he had Covid.  He never tested but definitely felt rough.  We decided to not go to Kansas and not risk getting anyone else sick.  Others there weren't feeling well either. We made the most of it.....but I'd be lying to say it wasn't a bit hard.  We missed being in Kansas and with family.  We played lots of games......and tried to just enjoy being home!

And squeezed in a Santa visit on Christmas Eve :)
We did some serious cleaning out in the days ahead.....we were all home and we had time.
