Disney World!

The time had finally come and all of got on the plane to head to Disney World!!!  It was a crazy travel day.  We thought we were flying straight to Orlando but there were storms so we got diverted to West Palm and ended up sitting there for an house.  Meanwhile the Kriegers and Mimi and Pawpaw had to fly through Chicago and they got delayed and had to sit on the runway for 5 hours!!!  Needless to say it was a crazy day but we all ended up getting to airport around the same time.

Lucy's first time to fly....she was super excited!

So fun when we finally saw each other in the airport!!!  Disney definitely has everything figured out.  They have buses from the airport that take you straight to your resort.  So we waited for awhile at the airport.

We were all panicking that we were going to miss our first night's dinner reservation since we ended up all getting delayed but it all worked out and we made it.  The girls could see Cinderella through the door windows and were so excited to go it in.

Dinner that night was at the Grand Floridian resort.  It was the Cinderella's Happily Ever after dinner.  Cinderella, her wicked Step mother, the sisters, and Prince Charming were all there.
Caleb was a mess of course.....at one point he was hiding under that table from one of the wicked step sisters.

There was a band playing in the foyer of the hotel.  Weston was excited to see the saxophone player.  They were all really good!

We had a lot to learn at this point.  We had no idea how to get back to our resort.  We first tried to take a bus and that didn't work.  Then we got on monorail but got off at wrong spot.  It was all a bit confusing and we were tired.
Monorail :)  We finally found the right spot and made it back to our resort.  Time for bed because we have a big day tomorrow!
So this is just kinda hilarious looking back.  We were in these crazy long lines to get in.  We made it through and everyone was just rushing and on a mission.  We didn't really get it at that point and couldn't figure out where everyone was going :).

We headed to the first ride Pirates of the Caribbean.
Then we got on the Magic Carpet ride next to Aladdin and Jasmine.

After the ride we had to meet Aladdin and Princess Jasmine.  The characters are amazing....so true to character!

Group picture in front of the castle!  All our matching shirts :)  Everyone had such a great attitude with the  pic....haha!

Next, we went over to the People Mover ride.

Then we all (except Mimi and the girls) got on Space Mountain.  Nate wasn't so sure about the ride.....even had a few voice words to say afterwards :).  HA!  Mimi and the girls rode Astro Orbiter white they waited on us.

Next up was Tomorrowland Speedway.  The cars were a bit frustrating and didn't steer to well but the kids loved them.

After that we rode Big Thunder railroad.  It was fun and everyone loved it.

Next we headed back towards castle to our lunch at Crystal Palace.

This lunch was with all the Winnie the Pooh characters.

After lunch we watched a performance on the steps of the castle.  It was our first time to see any of the Frozen characters.  Lucy was squealing with delight.  She loved it!!!  They sang and all the characters were out!

Tyson was thrilled :)

And fireworks to end the show!
Then we went to the Monsters Inc Laugh Floor.  It was cute but also I was nervous the entire time because they want crowd interaction and you just NEVER know what Caleb is going to say or blurt out!!!  Actually Tyson got on the screen a few times because they were picking on the guy in front of him.

Next up was the parade....it was another one of those times that EVERYONE was on a mission and going somewhere and we were trying to figure out what was happening.  We couldn't see that well but what we could see was pretty amazing!

people for as far as you could see!!!

Next we took the girls to meet Daisy and Minnie.  It took forever but they made a friend in line.  They loved it of course!  They had little books that they got all the princesses to sign.

Next up was the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.  This one was SO much fun!

This was a view of Belle's castle.

We all were getting tired and hungry.  We ended up eating dinner at a quick service place called Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe.  We were definitely still figuring out the meal plan/credits.  It is like a whole new language that you have to learn!!!  We didn't realize there were kid and adult meals so we did it a bit wrong this first night.  Oh well!!  We got food and that's all that mattered at that point!

After dinner we headed back towards the castle and it was CRAZY!  People were already lining up for the fireworks show that didn't start for another hour.  There were people EVERYWHERE!  I hadn't ever seen anything like it!

The fireworks were unreal but so was the light show!  The castle turned all different colors and at the end Tinker Bell flew down from the castle.  Pretty amazing!

The ending was kinda hilarious.  There were so many people and we knew they would all head to the buses as soon as it was over so we all started running to beat everyone.....hahahaha.  It was hilarious!
We all went straight to bed and got some rest for the next day....Epcot!  Right after this blurry picture was AWFUL.  We were all going in with of course a ton of people and trying to get tot the Frozen ride first.  We started running and all of a sudden realized Lucy was not with us.  I started running back to where the roads split and couldn't find her.  There was another popular ride around the corner so I sprinted to there and someone yelled "leopard jacket??"....I said "yes!" and she was up ahead with some people that were taking her to guest services.  She was crying and I was SO relieved to see her!!  Gosh that happened so fast.  So then off to Frozen ride we went.
Even after all that just happening she was squealing with delight in the Frozen ride.

Cutie pies.....and they both had to get a Sven to carry around all day....I mean take home :)
Next we headed to Test Track.  It was a pretty cool ride.  You first went in a room and designed your car.  Then you got on the ride which was a car that actually went outside and went fast.  It was a lot of fun!

After that ride we were all pretty hungry.  We went inside to the Garden Grill and ate breakfast.  Then we rode on Soarin' Around the World.  It was a virtual reality ride tat made you feel like you were flying over all parts of the world.  It even sprayed a mist in your face and had different scents.  It was so neat!!!  Next up was Mission Space.  On this one you had to choose green or orange.  Orange was the most intense and green was less intense.  It basically made you feel like you were flying to space.  Lucy wanted to do the orange so me, her and Logan were together.  Jason, Kai and Caleb were on the orange too.  All the others did green.  It was AWFUL.  I thought she was going to throw up so I was so nervous.  It made me get dizzy and feel really off......but we did it!

Next up Mallory and I took the girls to meet Elsa and Ana.  Oh they loved this!!!  It was done so well....they take you into a room all by yourself with the characters.  Pretty neat!

Next up was The Seas with Nemo.  It was short and kinda babish but we got right on so it was nice to sit :)

They had an aquarium and play area that we hung out in for awhile after the ride.

Ice cream time!  And at some point Mallory and I went in search of Cronuts....it's a donut and a croissant mixed.  Oh my it was SO yum!!!

Then we all headed to see Mickey Mouse!

We started walking around to the different countries.  Norah found hers :)
And then she met Mulan.

Lucy went to meet Snow White.

We watched some dancers in China.  They were pretty amazing!

Next we headed to Japan for our dinner at Teppan Edo.  It was a Japanese steakhouse.  Caleb was melting down because he was worried he wouldn't like the food and he was so hungry.  He was in the worst mood but once the meal started he realized how much he loved it.  Afterwards he said that was his favorite meal!  Oh that kid.....

Our chef was so fun.  She made everything turn Disney......she had Caleb singing songs from the Little Mermaid.  It was hilarious.
Olaf in onions :)
That tongue.....

Eiffel tower in the background....

The girls AND Weston met Princess Aurora before we headed back to the room.

He wasn't sure about this but she came and grabbed his hand and led him in to see her......ha!

Krieger stayed a little longer and got some treats :)

We were about to leave and Lucy decided she wanted to go back to the Frozen store.  So away we went.  She found her a magic wand like Elsa....

We crashed because the next day was going to be super early!!!! We all set our alarms for 5am because we were trying to get to the park around 6 to get in line so we could get on the Star Wars new ride.  There was some mix up with the taxis and Pawpaw was NOT happy.  It's kinda hilarious looking back on it but at the moment it wasn't.  Thankfully we all made it and got in line.
Doesn't he look thrilled?!?!?

So to get on the Rise of the Resistance ride your entire group has to be in the park and then at 7am you get on the que.  It then gives you a ride time once your que is called!  It's crazy and a bit confusing to figure it all out!  But thankfully it worked!!  You think at 6am there will be no one else at the park....HAHAHA....um no!  There were people everywhere and once again they were ALL on a mission!!

So we did what we normally do and just start following the crowd :).  We got into the Star Wars land and it was quite amazing.  I mean everything is Star Wars and looks so real!!!

We saw Rey and started following her.  She went and started working on the x wing.  She started talking to the kids and interacting with them.  She was in full character the entire time.

We ate at Oga's Cantina.  Once again everything was Star Wars....amazing how they thought of literally every detail!
Nate was loving his breakfast that day.  Meanwhile Caleb had stormed off and was eating by himself.  Ha!  Never a dull moment with those 2!

After that it was our turn to ride the Rise of the Resistance.  It was amazing.  You go through so many rooms before you even sit down on the ride.  There are so many people and characters all throughout.

The stormtroopers were so cool to me!

Chewy!  He was huge and even made the sound :)

There were storm troopers walking around talking to people....once again always in true character!

Next up we went over to Toy Story land and rode the Slinky Dog Dash.  We had to wait a long time but it was really fun!!!

Next up was the Rockin' Rollercoaster.  This was my favorite ride.  Kinda weird....it's like they were watching us....they knew based on your band that you were standing in line so your name sometimes came up on the signs on the wall :)

Some didn't ride that one so Mimi took the girls to get their faces painted.

Then we all headed to Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular.  It was a show and fun to watch.

After the show we went back to Star Wars land.

We ate Pizzerizzo for lunch.  It was good!
At the crazy fireworks show the first night we met a girl that actually worked at the other Star Wars ride which was the Millennium Falcom Smugglers Run.  She told us she could get us in the fast pass line!  We tried it and sure enough she let us right in!!!  It was awesome because the line was SO long!

On this one we all had different jobs....pilot, gunner or engineer.  All of it was so fun and amazing!

After the ride we kinda all split up.  I took the girls to go meet Olaf and everyone else did more Star Wars stuff.  Olaf was by far my favorite character.  He was so cute with the girls.  He was peeking around the corner at them.....

Then we went to the sing along Frozen show.  There was lots of singing and lots of giggling!

Meanwhile the boys were at a Star Wars show.
And meeting BB-8 and Chewbacca

We were all pretty tired that night so we went back to the hotel and had dinner at one of the restaurants. Bed as soon as possible that night!
The next morning everyone except Mimi, Pawpaw, my younger 2 and me went early again to Hollywood Studios.  I figured mine needed to sleep in a little bit so we had a slower morning and enjoyed breakfast at the hotel.

might've been a double cup kinda of morning :)
They went back and Mallory decided to give Rockin' Rollercoaster a try.  She was sweating it just a bit.

We met up with the rest of the crew and went back to Toy Storyland to ride Toy Story Mania.  It was a fun shooting game....everyone liked it!

Then we did the Alien Swirling Saucers......not the best but it was a ride!

The green army men were always out marching around.  They would stop and do a show in front of the crowd.  Caleb, Kai, Lucy and Norah all got called on to go be part of it.

They had different events for them to do.  One of them was throwing a bean bag in buckets.  Caleb of course was over obnoxious about it and one of the army men said "ok, must be working through some issues".....ha!  It was hilarious!!!  And oh so true :)

Next up was lunch at Minnie's Seasonal Vine.  All the classic characters were there and Mickey greeted us as soon as we got in.  It was a fun lunch except Logan had an awful headache.

Logan went back to the room to sleep off his headache and the rest of us headed to the older Star Wars ride called Star Tours.

Next up all the boys got to design their very own lightsaber at Savi's workshop.

The girls were in their own world....making a new friend.
It was all so serious!!  They had to choose the color of kyber crystal that they wanted.  Each color of course represented something.

They were all so proud of them!

After we finished the ones that had gotten up early got to go ride the Rise of the Resistance again.  But sadly the ride closed down for a little while but they provided everyone with snacks and water!!  And Rey even came and visited!

While they were at the ride I took the girls to see Beauty and the Beast on Stage show.  It was great and they loved it.

Logan got back and Lucy was happy with Forkie and her daddy.

Then I took them to see the Little Mermaid show.  They were acting like they were talking on their coffee sleeves :)

Scary Ursula.....
They met Darth Vader....

And a few did the Tower of Terror....only Eli, Kai, Caleb, Jason and Logan were brave enough :)

We kinda split for dinner.  The Kriegers went back to Star Wars land for dinner and shopping.  We ate at a quick service place off Sunset Blvd.  Afterwards we all headed to the light show in a huge theater called Fantasmic!  It was getting pretty chilly but we survived and the show was awesome!!!

Some tired kids that night!!!  I think 2 nights in a row she fell asleep on the bus.
Next morning was a little more relaxed.....no more waking up quite so early!  We got up and had breakfast again and then headed to Animal Kingdom.  Since we were staying really close it was a very short ride for once!

We beat everyone else there so we went ahead and rode the Dinosaur ride.  We had heard it was really scary so I kept waiting for something more......it never came :).  Ha!

Then while we were waiting we did Triceratop Spin.....

Then we all headed over to ride Everest.  This was probably a favorite of most for the week!  It was a really fun roller coaster.  At first Mimi and the younger ones sat out.  Tyson loved it!

Then Lucy and Mimi got brave and did it!
Monkeys!

Then we all went on the Kilimanjaro Safari.  The jeep/truck that we rode in was super bumpy.....other than that it was fun to see the animals.

We ate a quick lunch after the Safari and then headed to Avatar.

Transformer guy doing a show after we got off the ride.  Crazy looking!

Dilly Bar time!!!
Pawpaw and his dilly bars :)

After that we took a break and headed back to the hotel to rest and swim for a little while.

or sleep :)
The water was freezing but when does that ever stop kids!!

We went back to Animal Kingdom that night for a family style dinner at Pizzafari.  It was so good and so much food!  Caleb was in heaven......actually all of the boys were quite happy!

After dinner we went and rode Everest in the dark.  We talked the guy into letting us go in the fast pass line!  It was even more fun in the dark!

Then we went to the light show.  It was ok....definitely nothing like the one at Hollywood or Magic Kingdom but still fun!

Disney PJ and lightsaber pic!
The last full day was another full day at Magic Kingdom.  There is just so much to do at that park that we decided to do it again.  At one point the older 2 boys had thought about going to Universal Studios and doing the Harry Potter part but we decided to just all stay together.
We started the day at Magic Kingdom back over at the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and breakfast at Starbucks!  Mickey doughnut!

Then we had to do the classic It's a Small World Ride.  Quite crazy to see how much they advanced in designing rides!!

I got my name on the screen!

Next up was Peter Pan's Flight.  Once again I think this was just an iconic ride you're supposed to do so we did it!

We ate lunch at Gaston's Tavern.  It was yummy!  Then we headed over to Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin.  It actually was really fun.  You had to shoot things and got points.

We had to wait for a long time but we rode Toy Story Mania.  It was really fun.....shooting game again!
People Mover again for the win!
After that we went in search of ice cream.  Or rest....Mimi was worn out :)
I took Lucy and we watched the parade again.  We had a lot better seats so it was great!

The girls went to meet Repunzel and Tiana.

Next was the girls turn for their special treat.  They got to go to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in the castle.
First thing they got to do was look through a book and pick out what princess they wanted to dress up like.

Lucy chose Elsa and Norah chose Elena.
She looked over their hair and talked about hairstyles and then they got a message from the Fairy Godmother.

Then they got all dressed up!

Then they got walked across to the salon :).  They did their hair, nails, and even makeup.  At the end they got fairy dust sprinkled all over them.

Sweet cousin princesses!

After that Norah wanted to go meet Elena since she was all dressed up just like her!  We talked the guy into letting us go through the fast pass line and we got to meet her and Cinderella super fast.

Then we literally ran to the boats because we had dinner reservations over at the Fort Wilderness Resort.  We were cutting it super close and didn't want to miss.  It was dinner and a show called Hoop Dee Doo Muscial Revue.  The guys were back in line at Space Mountain and it was going so slow.  They were super sad but had to end up leaving the line so they could make it in time.

Everyone finally made it!  Dinner was served family style and really good.  The show was fun too.  At one point they got the audience involved and for some reason picked Nate and Caleb and gave them a washboard to make noise on with their forks!!!

Super hard saying bye....we found out later that night that our flight was delayed and crazy enough Kriegers and Barry & Judy's flights were all cancelled.  They ended up having to switch hotels and stay another night.

Our sad face on the plane having to go home.  Back to the real world.  Gosh it was one amazing vacation!!  SO fun to be with family and to have that kind of fun!!!  That was our first time to really take a vacation with the Kriegers and Pawpaw and Mimi since we've all had kids.  It was so much fun!!!
