Last Tuesday I took Weston on his first flight. Our flight took off at 8:00 from San Antonio. We got to the airport a little before 7. I was planning on checking in his bag so I'd have less to carry. Well I entered the airport and the line was to the door. I knew I'd never make it on time if I checked in his bag, so I just decided to carry it on. So you can imagine me lugging my 30lb weight of a kid on one hip, his backpack on my back, and rolling his suitcase with my purse attached. It was quite a sight and quite exhausting. We finally got all through security and on the plane....which was of course completely full. He sat on my lap the whole time and really did pretty well. We went through several cheerios and different books but we made it. We had one stop in Dallas but weren't supposed to have to change planes. Well that plan changed and they announced that we had to switch. So we got to do the whole getting the suitcase and my 30lb weight off and back on the plane again. Needless to say I was worn out when we finally got to Tulsa to meet Mimi and Pawpaw. Weston was super excited to see them. I had about 10 minutes and then my plane left again to head back. I tried not to think about how long it'd be without my boy.....but I knew I'd be missing him!!! Here's some pics of the flight....he loved watching it take off and land, loved the air vents, and loved playing with the pull down tray and window shade....who knew that would be so entertaining.

I love the picture at the very bottom of you and Weston- his face is so expressive! He does NOT look happy- but it's just so darn cute! Austin took his first flight when he was 6 months old- so he slept the entire time. We are going to visit my parents in Sept- so that will be the big test... I'm a little concerned now that he is mobile and hates to sit still in my lap!
