Family Camp!

We finally made it to camp and everyone was SO excited!  There were tons of kids and there was a game of gaga ball very soon!

Our first free time we all decided to do the zip line.  I'm not sure Lucy was technically heavy enough but somehow she snuck through and went!  She was scared at first but she did it!

The first night was family Olympics night.  We used a little duct tape and made ourselves into the Jamaican bobsled team.  It was SO fun.  They had all kinds of events for us to do and we earned tickets along the way.

Somehow we got the victory!  They even played our Jamaican national anthem.  It was a super fun night :)
That night for free time the kids discovered rock climbing.  They all loved it but Weston fell in love.  This became his favorite spot ALL week!

Fun on the gun range!

We got a night out and went into the little town of Westcliffe.  Not much opened but we sat out and stared at the mountain range :)

I am pointing to where I'm going to climb the next day!
We got up super early and went with some other adults to climb Horn Peak.  This is the mountain that the camp is named after.  It's super high....13,450'.

The end was very steep and above tree line of course.  At the very top we were basically climbing on our hand and knees.  It was super challenging because the air was thin and a bit harder to breathe.  But it was so awesome!!!  Beautiful at the top and such a fun accomplishment!!

I love that he'll go and do stuff like this with me!!  It was an awesome day!

We got back from hiking and met up with the kids.  They went zip lining again!

That night was Western Night.  They had a few horses that the younger 2 rode.
This little girl was in heaven :)

Next up after dinner was dancing!  First some 2 stepping....then things got a little wilder.

I don't even have pictures but this was Caleb's favorite night by far.  He was ALL in.  He was dancing so hard he was literally pouring sweat.  He was up on stage with the college kids and having the time of his life.  This is his element!  Meanwhile his little sister is about done.  She was so tired she laid down!  Ha!
Afterwards was more free time....or bed time for Lucy.
You could always could find Weston climbing the wall
Bowling alley was another hit for free time.  Middle two loved going here!

The next morning there was a pancake toss for breakfast!  You had to catch your pancake if you wanted to eat!
We had a free day to do what we wanted as a family.  We decided to give white water rafting a try.  It was more like a float trip but everyone enjoyed it and that's what counts!

here's the pics they took because I'm too cheap to buy them!

That night was skit night.  Here's a few shots of our skit.  It was selected scenes from one of our favorite family movies - Bee Movie.  Caleb was Barry Benson and can basically quote the entire movie.  It was SO fun and so funny.  Logan was Ken and hilarious.  Weston was the mosquito.  Tyson was Barry's friend and I was Vanessa.  Fun fun night with my family.

Dessert afterwards!
Weston did a trail ride.  Lucy wasn't old enough and she was super sad about it.
Lots of rock climbing for the last day.

Logan was in the ping pong tournament.  He almost won....2nd place.  We had fun cheering him on!
The last night was super cool.  First we had time just our family where Logan gave a blessing type thing to each of us.  It was emotional but really neat to hear him talk that way to each of us.  I loved it.  Never do we take the time to do meaningful things like that so it was good.  Then we had a pretend campfire and sang worship songs outside.

The next morning it was time to say goodbye which was NO fun!!

Our counselor....Bum-G
Amazing friends that we loved hanging out with!

Amazing week!  We loved every bit of it.
